Deck the Hull: An OLYMPIA Holiday Tour

Dates: December 5, 12, 19, 27

Times: 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM or 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM (For December 5, 12, and 19)

4:30 PM to 5:30 PM or 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM (For December 27)

Cost: $20 per ticket (Tickets can be purchased online or at the Admission Desk on the day of the tour from 10 AM to 4 PM.)

Get into the spirit and hear about the traditions, entertainment, and celebrations of festive seasons onboard Olympia, a nineteenth-century cruiser. How does one celebrate the season, especially when you need to balance the realities of being a sailor onboard a U.S. Navy ship (and are separated from your loved ones)? By forging a motley community with the other sailors, of course!

These tours will use copies of original materials from the museum’s collections to connect us with the past and what life was like aboard during the holiday season. Admission for this holiday offering includes a guided tour onboard Olympia and family-friendly activities. Hot chocolate included with your ticket!
