Festival Volunteer Details
Our volunteers are an integral part of making the Festival a success. Volunteers shifts are available from 5:30 a.m. through the end of the festival on both Saturday and Sunday. Volunteers will receive weekend access to the Festival, a Festival T-shirt and a lanyard.
After completing the signup form, volunteers will be contacted within 3 - 5 business days. There will be a mandatory training before the Festival (two different training times available). Check for an email in early September for training details. VERY IMPORTANT: If your schedule has changed, or if you have an emergency, please contact Katie Burke at (215) 413-8663 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Arrivals & Breaks
Your prompt arrival for your scheduled shift is absolutely necessary. You must check in at the Command Center inside the Museum on the 3rd floor at the beginning of your shift. Please try to arrive 15 minutes early. Volunteers will receive at least one break for each shift, which needs to be coordinated with the volunteer coordinator.
T-shirt & Lanyard
Every volunteer receives the official Old City Seaport Festival T-shirt and lanyard. The T-shirt and lanyard must be worn while you are working at the Festival. Please do not make any alterations to T-shirt or lanyard while you are volunteering for the Old City Seaport Festival. There are two info sheets for the lanyards. One has Saturday’s schedule and the other has Sunday’s schedule.
Meal & Beverages
Volunteers will be offered a variety of food and beverages before and during their shift. Alcoholic beverages may not be consumed before or during a volunteer’s shift. All food and beverages are located in the Command Center on the 3rd floor inside the Museum.
