Old City Seaport Festival FAQs
When is the Old City Seaport Festival? The Old City Seaport Festival is held every year during Columbus Day Weekend. This year the Festival is October 10 - 12, 2014. On Friday, October 10 there will be a Parade of Sail that is free to watch from the Landing, or purchase tickets to be aboard one of the Tall Ships! On Saturday and Sunday, October 11-12, the landing around the Seaport Museum comes alive with deck tours of the Tall Ships, craft vendors, roaming costumed pirates, food trucks, an outdoor Gosling’s Dark ‘n Stormy Tavern, a pirate Moon Bounce, rowboat races in the basin and antique and classic boats on display.
Where does the Old City Seaport Festival take place? The Old City Seaport Festival takes place inside the Seaport Museum and along the waterfront area on Penn's Landing around the Museum.
What are the hours of the Old City Seaport Festival? Regular Festival programming runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, October 11-12. The daily events schedule is available at the Festival in a program and the 2014 Schedule of Events can be viewed online.
Where is parking available? Festival parking is available directly adjacent to the Seaport Museum in the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation (DRWC) public parking lot. The automated parking lot accepts cash and credit cards. Visitors to the can also park at the Quality Parking lot located right over the Walnut Street pedestrian bridge. The Quality parking lot is located on Front Street between Walnut Street and Chestnut streets (entrance is on Front Street). Paid street parking is available on Front Street and the surrounding area. Please remember to read parking signs and obey parking restrictions.
Can I bring my own food and drinks? No outside food or beverages permitted.
What kind of food will be at the Old City Seaport Festival? The Festival will have some of Philadelphia's best food trucks serving visitors a variety of food.
What is the pet policy? Pets are not allowed on Festival grounds except for those used to aid the handicapped. No exceptions.
Can I wear heels or flip flops? Yes. You are not required to wear closed-toe shoes. However, it is recommended for deck and River Tours aboard Tall Ships.
Is the Festival accessible to the disabled? Yes, but ships are not wheelchair accessible.
Will photos taken of me be used? Yes, any photos taken of you may be used for promotional materials.
Please do not bring: Alcohol, weapons (replica or toy swords or pistols permitted if part of a pirate costume, but subject to check at entrance), any illegal substances. Oversize bags may be searched at festival entrance. The Old City Seaport Festival reserves the right to remove any patron for disruptive behavior.
