Game Day Aboard Olympia
Independence Seaport Museum will host Game Day Aboard Olympia, a day full of fun and games onboard Cruiser Olympia, on May 3 starting at 10:00 a.m. Gamers will enjoy war, strategy and cooperative games and can register for:
- $20 Day admission from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. that includes day of games and self-guided tour of Olympia, or
- $50 All Day/Night admission from 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. the next morning, which includes day of games, self-guided tour of Olympia, and an overnight onboard Olympia (must bring own sleeping bag).
Members of Olympia's Living History Crew, re-enactors who interpret the ship, will be aboard Olympia for Manila Bay Weekend. The Living History Crew will replicate the plan of the day for May 1 of 1898 in the Philippines including 5-inch and 6 pounder gun drills, single stick drills, preparing and cooking meals, mail call, pay day and work parties. This is a true look into the regimented daily life aboard a turn-of-the-century US Navy flagship.
All proceeds raised will be donated to help preserve the Cruiser Olympia.
