Annual Fund

...what you can do for Independence Seaport Museum.

Anchored by the key themes of History, Science, Art, and Community, Independence Seaport Museum connects people to the water and our shared maritime heritage. Capitalizing on this unique riverside location and exhibits, the Seaport Museum provides students with quality STEAM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) educational programming and extracurricular opportunities that not only supplement traditional classroom learning, but also improve overall academic performance and promote personal strength.

Your support to our Annual Fund will allow us to reach at-risk, inner-city kids who otherwise may miss out on these learning opportunities. Here are some examples of what your unrestricted dollars can do:

$50         underwrites a partial scholarship for a student in our Science and Arts Innovative Learning on the River
                 (SAILOR) program.

$100      provides one day of hands-on science and engineering mentoring in our SeaPerch program.
                 or records.

$250      pays for an underserved child to attend summer camp and learn how to row a boat.

$500      allows for programming in our Tides of Freedom exhibition that is tied to school's Afican American history

$1,000 provides a scholarship for one student to participate in our SAILOR program.
